Some riders as soon as they have started the engine proceed to race it, presumably with the idea of impressing bystanders with the powerful mount they are about to ride. This, apart from the question of ethics, is thoroughly bad practice and is proof of ignorance, for until the engine reaches a certain temperature it will not be circulating with maximun efficiency.
